This workshop will focus on measuring disability and functioning in longitudinal studies that include a focus on aging. This workshop will examine conceptual models of disability and functioning, existing measures and their alignment with one another, and the relationship of these measures to disability experiences. An additional focus is survey measurement (mode effects, proxy reports, and innovative new measures). The workshop will end with a “measurement clinic” where participants can receive feedback on the most appropriate measures for their specific survey design and research questions.
This hybrid workshop will be in-person at the ISR Perry Building (Room G300) in Ann Arbor and online via Zoom. A zoom link will be shared following registration.
