Description
In 2017 (Round 7), NHATS collected DBS from study participants. A portion of these samples was used to produce genomic data files and to perform assays of inflammatory and disease markers, which are available as sensitive data files. The remaining samples represent a valuable but limited scientific resource for conducting assays on a probability-based sample of US Medicare beneficiaries with rich panel data on their health and functioning. The remaining samples should provide data on an estimated 2500-3000 individuals, depending on the number of DBS card punches needed.
