The Science of Alzheimer’s Disease and Alzheimer’s Disease Related Dementias (AD/ADRD) for Social Scientists Program is a unique two-day series of lectures featuring nationally recognized clinical, biomedical and other interdisciplinary experts in the AD/ADRD field. Experts deliver scientific lectures tailored to social scientists, covering advances in biomarkers, therapeutics, disease pathology, clinical care models, among others.
The two-day program will take place at USC’s University Park Campus in Los Angeles, California.
The application deadline is Friday, July 31, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. PT.

The 90-minute webinar features three scholars doing cutting-edge work on aging families by sexual orientation. Each speaker will focus on a current project using a unique dataset (e.g., National Couples’ Health and Time Study, LGBTQ+ Social Networks, Aging, and Policy Study, and larger secondary datasets and federal household surveys) and emphasize the merits/disadvantages of each in the study of aging families across sexual orientation groups.
